This royal icing recipe is the perfect compliment to homemade sugar cookies. Its versatility and 3-ingredient recipe makes it an easy one. It can be used for both flooding and outlining your cookies.
INGREDIENTS:
- Egg Whites (3 eggs)
- 1 tsp Water
- 5 cups Powdered Sugar
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a large bowl, add egg whites and water.
- Add in powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing after each cup added.
- If you’re using icing to outline, it will need to be thicker. This can be accomplished by adding more powdered sugar until you get your desired consistency.
- If you’re using the icing for flooding, the recipe provided should produce the perfect consistency. If you’re unhappy with the consistency and want it to be thinner, add a little water until you get your desired consistency.
